Seeing the boom and bust cycle of the oil and gas industry in the 1980’s made us realize the true value of diversity. Upon discovery of the Bird and Herd fields we knew that in order to preserve and grow our company, diversifying into other markets was necessary. We began rolling oil and gas profits into investments ranging from ranching to golf courses and everything in between. Over the years our focus has remained mainly on oil and gas exploration with a healthy side of real estate as a long term safety net.
